Peer Review Process Policy

1. Purpose of Peer Review
The peer review process ensures that every article published in the Andalas Notary Journal meets high scientific standards, relevance, and originality.

2. Submission Process
- Authors submit their manuscripts through the online submission system.
- The editor will screen all received manuscripts to ensure conformity with the journal's focus and scope and compliance with submission guidelines.

3. Initial Selection
- The editor conducts an initial review to evaluate the manuscript's suitability.
- Manuscripts that do not meet the guidelines or fall outside the journal's scope will be returned to the authors without further review.

4. Assignment of Reviewers
- Manuscripts that pass the initial selection will be sent to two or more independent reviewers who are experts in the field.
- The review process is conducted in a double-masked manner, where the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept confidential.

5. Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:
- Originality and contribution to the field of notarial science.
- Quality of research methodology and data analysis.
- Clarity, organization, and language of the manuscript.
- Compliance with research ethics.

6. Reviewers' Decision
Reviewers will provide one of the following recommendations:
- Accept without revisions.
- Accept with minor revisions.
- Accept with significant revisions.
- Reject.

7. Revisions and Final Decision
- Authors requested to make revisions must submit the revised manuscript according to the reviewers' comments and suggestions.
- The editor will re-evaluate the revised manuscript and, if necessary, by the reviewers.
- The editor will make the final decision regarding the acceptance of the manuscript based on the final review.

8. Communication with Authors
- Authors will be informed of the manuscript acceptance decision via email.
- Authors of accepted manuscripts will receive further guidance regarding the production and publication stages.

9. Transparency Policy
The Andalas Notary Journal is committed to maintaining transparency in the peer review process. All authors and reviewers are expected to adhere to publication ethics and uphold the integrity of the review process.
